Teach Us to Pray

In Luke chapter 11, the disciples make a simple request of Jesus: 'Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.' Jesus responds immediately to the request. It's intriguing that in the next verses, Jesus shows exactly how to pray and who to pray for- inferring the disciples actually made a honest and sincere request that Jesus answered directly and thoroughly. It was granted immediately by Jesus. What if we more often asked, 'Lord, teach us to...____'
